I took the plunge

Welp folks.
I finally did it. I've been putting it off for years but I gave in.
I created an online portfolio--cheapie style.
But hey at least when applying for jobs I now have something to give. It ain't much but it works.
I just wish I had a working camera and actual lighting (a basement is impossible to shoot paintings) to add the three paintings I've been working on. bah humbug.
but it's better than nothing!

  3. Yay!!! Thanks for posting Adel!

It may be cheapo, but it's simple and it works and it shows off your work. Better than a lot of bad sites I've seen out there.

Yeah, I think the first three pictures could go on the website. Are your pictures edgy and crooked, or are there triangle pieces on the edge of each painting that are a different color? That would be the only thing to clarify and I would photoshop the levels a little in the first one. Website is having technical difficulties, but we're hoping to be selling things by Sept. 10 and you would still have a free jury through Aug. 31. So it would be great to have a real person test the system!

Still love your artistic graphic design work. Especially Jaymes' shoulder ; )

  4. there's a block of color painted directly on the wall behind each painting to allow them to hang crooked..intentional part of the artistic style but obviously wouldn't translate if sold...I could crop directly to the painting...and where do I submit things?

  5. Submit paintings at http://www.obviousplace.com/ then art gallery. Please test it and let me know if there are any problems!
