Got to take table runner photos today at work. Not exactly my own artwork, but these are my favorite pictures to take for work. They are smaller scale so I can move things around easier and be a little bit more creative! Here's a few of the best ones.

I don't know that this last one is the greatest, but I love these little birdies that my boss brought in for props.
Do you think these sell the product? Suggestions alway welcome!
Hey! I like the photos! You need to take pleasure where you can sometimes and if work gives you some fun, then enjoy. I am not sure they'd sell (I would buy some if I had $$), but they sure gave me ideas for making my own. ;)
ReplyDeleteI, too, am trying to turn my life in a better direction. Am applying to grad school and plotting my exit from Austin. I am painting again and not pressuring myself to over do it.
And I took on another commission. I am pretty sure that makes me insane, but it's not due until Father's Day, so I'll probably be posting pictures and needed help at some point before them.
Hope you are all well and seeking some sort of creativity.
I really enjoy these pictures! So fun!
ReplyDeleteI am feeling the same way too-- My mid-January resolution is to start working on my photography again. It has been way too long since I've focused on my own art; I'm always just working on designs for other people!
Julia- where will you be moving? Back to Chicago? That would be fantastic!
I miss you all! I miss our beautiful city! Hope you're having a wonderful New Year!
Laura - Yes, Chicago is the dream. Austin and I are not such good friends. Thankfully my hubs likes me enough to want to move back too. Wont be posting much on facebook, at least until it's for sure.
ReplyDeleteLoving that you are all working on art. You inspire me.
I bought basket materials because now that I have started a stable, 'normal' job, I want to establish creative time. ha. we'll see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteKatherine--
The first photograph is the strongest-almost Georgia O'Keefe-esque. It seems when you use more than one item (preferably 3), it gives it more of a complete feel. When it's just one item, it seems lonely. But maybe that's just my inability to keep things simple. ha.
