So here is the beginning of m
y eyes :) they are both my sister eye from different angles. the one on the left was the first one. i like the texture/darkness of the one on the right alot better. i suspect the more i do the more the style will change. we'll see. my question, i want to know what emotion/thought/something that they provoke. i want to capture something with these eyes and i haven't the faintest idea how to do so except by thinking about it as i'm making it. just let me knwo what you think :)

  1. I like the chiaroscuro in the first one (on the top here). (Sorry for the big word, but it says what I want it to say!) For me it captures the fleeting moment of someone looking up. Also a little surprise or perhaps a piercing glance to read the expression of someone you care about. I really like the contrast in this one, but could just be how you photographed/scanned it.

The second one is less realistic and more expressive. Neither better or worse for me, just different. It reminds me of a more childlike gaze. If I had to pick an emotion I would probably say a little lonely/sad/detached.

Maybe experiment with different light sources and shapes of the eyes to communicate something. I have noticed that the size and shape of eyes changes quite a bit with laughter, boredom, etc.
